ATV-SW-500 has a steering wheel and can withstand a maximum weight of 227 kg. This model is slightly larger and the wheel allows you to move around outside in a smooth manner. Pedestrian sidewalks in Stockholm are no problem! The only thing that needs to be adjusted is the knee cushion for the injured leg which is placed on the right side depending on the nature of the injury. The steering wheel can also be adjusted depending on the whether or not the right or left leg is injured. In both cases it is simple and there is only one removable which needs to be adjusted.
This model has a metallic basket similar to a bicycle basket at the front where you can place your belongings while on the move.
During transportation you can fold the steering wheel with a special pin and fit the device into the back of a smaller cars trunk.
As an accessory you have the option of adding a upholder.
The knee scooter is fitted with a break on both back wheels which are used for altering speeds. You will be able to for example have it engaged at all times to move slowly. While going downhill you must use the healthy leg to stabilize yourself.
The breaks only work efficiently if you put your weight on the knee scooter. The reason for not breaking the front wheel is that this could lead the knee scooter to tip over.
A Roll-A-Bout is not suitable for steep hills or staircases.
